I had the privilege of attending the groundbreaking ceremony for the new South Bay Community Services (SBCS) center in Chula Vista, and it was truly an inspiring experience. The ceremony took place on a beautiful, sunny day, and I was honored to be part of this momentous occasion.
The mayor of Chula Vista and Cox Cable presented a generous $100,000 donation to support the center’s mission, which was a wonderful display of community support. Additionally, many community members have donated $2,500 to sponsor special tiles that will be placed in the center, making it a truly community-driven project.
The new SBCS center will provide vital resources and support for families in the community, offering a comprehensive range of services, including:
- Family and mental health counseling
- Health and wellness initiatives
- Youth programs and services
- Community outreach and engagement
- Education and employment support
I’m thrilled to see the community come together to make a positive impact on the lives of local families. This new center will be a valuable asset to Chula Vista, and I look forward to seeing the difference it will make.
The groundbreaking ceremony marked a significant milestone in the center’s development, and I’m excited to see the center thrive and serve the community well.
